Marathon Training Day 2: 4 miles, several curious dogs

Ran the 2 miles down to the edge of Bushwick via Evergreen. Every neighborhood needs a street like Evergreen in order to occasionally remind people what a nice, fascinating neighborhood they live in. Lots of interesting things going on-including an entire fleet of “Mobile Sunday school” missionary vehicles fitted out in a parking lot like God’s UPS.

My muscles are having the worst high school reunion ever, basically showing up and reminding each other about the time that they were sore. Quad walks up to left Calf muscle: “Hey. Calfie! Its the Quadman! Hey Hey! remember that time we got really drunk on lactic acid and totally cramped up like two hours later? Like, we were cramping everywhere! We should go out and do that sometime. Calf smiles awkwardly at his wife, right Calf. Quad was always an asshole.

Tightness in knee remains. I guess the rule of thumb is to stop running if pain worsens or changes your gait–its still just in the annoying, nagging phase, so I will keep running.

Doing 3 and a half morning run tomorrow. Week one is almost up!
